"Milan scale" Ferrari models collection

Imagine a whole collection of Formula 1 at 1: 6 scale made of paper. Maybe you know that paper, cardboard or even foam models already exist, and that specialized manufacturers also market model racing cars made of paper. You can order them online like any diecast or resin model and assemble them yourself.

Well, Milan Paulus builds them from A to Z himself, and has produced a whole series of over 50 cars in 1: 6 scale, exclusively F1 Ferrari models.

Milan Paulus is a fan of Ferrari and paper models from the Czech Republic. His 1st name is a cool coincidence. Milan is not the Ferrari town, but it's an italian city name anyway...

He has been creating all kinds of models since his childhood, but he decided to embark on the manufacture of a whole collection of Ferrari F1 in 2008, and he intends to go all the way by producing the 104 red Grand Prix single-seater using almost exclusively paper and/or cardboard.

Unlike the practice of assembling paper models that one can buy from large manufacturers, Milan has more of an independent artisan approach. He takes care of the manufacturing process from the search for documents, photos, measurements, drawing of plans, research of material ... through the creation of each element and part, until the final assembly.

On its models, we can obviously distinguish something other than cardboard or paper, in particular micro-cables and wires, springs that look like those found inside pens. Milan must certainly have plenty of DIY tips and secrets ...

The perfection of the models, their level of detail and their fidelity to the originals are breathtaking. What impresses the most are the details of the engines of course, but also the perfect roundness of the tires and other round shaped elements, which must be the most complicated to achieve I imagine.

We can also take hats off to him for having so dared and succeeded in reproducing modern Formula 1 cars despite their aerodynamic complexity and their extremely elongated proportions which could prove to be fragile for a material such as paper or cardboard.

In any case, if Milan does not intend to sell his collection, he must probably receive offers from all over the world, but his dream is for Ferrari to order them all, which would be a kind of consecration. In the meantime, he is already applying for a place in the Guinness Book of Records.
